Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) in Curriculum and Instruction (Teaching and Teacher Education)

This program prepares students to assume leadership positions in school districts and other organizations as well as academic teaching positions at universities and colleges. Students learn multiple concepts of curriculum and the associated teaching purposes, strategies, and methods. The needs of adult learners are also integral to this area of specialization. The program is designed for students concerned with the design, development, implementation, and operation of instructional programs and is focused on developing their skills as an instructional specialist.
