Students who wish to pursue a doctoral degree at Florida Tech typically hold both a bachelor's and master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Applicants must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.2 in prior graduate coursework in order to be considered for admission to a Florida Tech doctoral degree program. Admission to doctoral study is granted to applicants who have received masters degrees in electrical engineering or related fields from accredited institutions or from international institutions that provide suitable preparation for doctoral-level studies. Included with the application should be a short, clear statement of the applicants interests and objectives, two letters of recommendation and a résumé/CV. An on-campus interview is highly recommended, although not required for admission.
