Preparing mental health practitioners for diverse and challenging environments in Northern CaliforniaUniversity of the Pacific's Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology prepares students for careers that serve a culturally diverse society in the mental health professions by providing an educational foundation in counseling, assessment, development, research methods, ethical practice, psychopharmacology, and addiction, among other advanced topics. Students in the program progress through their course sequence in a cohort and support each other in the classroom and in practice as they become self-reflective practitioners, researchers, and leaders. Upon graduation, students will be eligible for certification as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
