Music BMus

Western Washington University - International Study Center (StudyGroup)

The Department of Music is a community of artists and educators who work collaboratively to support and encourage one another. Our mission is to provide an engaging, inclusive, and professional artistic experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Our graduates use their musical abilities to enrich and sustain communities within the university, the region, and beyond. All are welcome in our department to experience the joy of performing, listening, creating, and learning. We are committed to each student's artistic experience and undergraduate learning. Our students regularly win national and regional competitions in instrumental and vocal performance, conducting, and composition. Graduates often continue their studies at some of the most prestigious graduate programs nationally and internationally. Western’s Music Department is part of the College of Fine and Performing Arts.
